The original macaroon was a “small sweet cake consisting largely of ground almonds”. Purely Unbaked has dedicated copious hours of experimentation in the kitchen to be able to offer a healthy rendition of the original. Our own raw version of the macaroon is densely packed with nutrients and flavor. Almonds alone are known as the healthiest tree nut. They do amazing things like: lower ‘bad’ cholesterol, help build strong bones and teeth, lower the rise in blood sugar and insulin after meals and provide healthy fats while aiding in weight loss.
